Logistics Strategy and Planning:
• Develop and implement comprehensive logistics strategies that align with Company objectives.
• Collaborate with senior management to identify opportunities for operation improvements and cost savings.
Transportation Management:
• Manage transportation activities, including route optimization, carrier selection, and transportation mode decisions.
• Ensure timely and cost-effective inbound and outbound shipments to meet customer delivery expectations.
Warehousing and Inventory Management:
• Oversee warehouse operations, including storage, inventory control, and order fulfillment processes.
• Implement inventory management strategies to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize carrying costs.
Distribution and Order Fulfillment:
• Coordinate the distribution process to ensure accurate and timely delivery of products to customers and retail partners.
• Monitor order fulfillment metrics and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Work closely with production, procurement, and sales teams to align logistics activities with production schedules and customer demands.
• Collaborate with the supply chain team to optimize end-to-end supply chain processes.
Team Leadership and Development:
• Lead and manage the logistics team, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence within the logistics function.
Process Improvement and Innovation:
• Identify opportunities to enhance logistics processes, reduce lead times, and improve overall operational efficiency.
• Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in logistics and supply chain management.
Compliance and Risk Management:
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, customs requirements, and safety standards within logistics operations.
• Mitigate logistics-related risks and implement contingency plans as needed.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, management or specific Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in logistics or supply chain management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong understanding of logistics principles, transportation modes, and warehousing operations.
• Experience in managing and optimizing logistics processes in a manufacturing or factory environment.
• Proficiency in using logistics management systems, transportation management systems (TMS), and warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of driving process improvements and cost savings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Familiarity with international logistics, import/export regulations, and customs compliance.
• Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving operational targets and delivering exceptional customer service.
