Finance Director - Group of Companies

Position Overview: As the Finance Director, you will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy and direction of our group of companies. Reporting directly to the executive leadership team, you will provide strategic financial leadership, oversee all aspects of financial management, and implement robust financial controls and reporting mechanisms. Key Responsibilities:

Financial Strategy:

-Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the organization's overall objectives and growth plans.
-Provide strategic financial advice to the executive leadership team, driving informed decision-making and maximizing shareholder value.
-Conduct financial analysis, forecasting, and risk assessment to identify opportunities and mitigate potential challenges.

Financial Management:

-Oversee the financial operations of the group of companies, including budgeting, financial planning, and cash flow management.
-Establish and maintain robust financial controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
-Drive efficiency and cost optimization initiatives to enhance profitability and operational performance.

Financial Reporting:

-Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, statements, and analyses for internal stakeholders, board of directors, and external investors.
-Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and reporting requirements across all business sectors.
-Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data to support strategic decision-making and business planning processes.

Stakeholder Engagement:

-Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and financial institutions.
-Serve as a key liaison with auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies to address financial matters and ensure compliance.
-Communicate financial performance, risks, and opportunities effectively to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Qualifications:

-Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
-Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in financial management, preferably within a group of companies or diversified business environment.
-Strong understanding of financial principles, practices, and regulations across multiple industries, including retail, industrial, agriculture, technology, and technical services.
-Proven track record of strategic financial leadership, with the ability to drive business growth and operational excellence.
-Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
-Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and build collaborative relationships.
-Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with a focus on inspiring and developing high-performing teams.
-Proficiency in financial software systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
